Roundtable debate: "State and Society is a unified team in energy conservation"

On October 12, 2020, within the framework of the Jean Monnet project "challenges of energy efficiency: cooperation between Ukraine and the EU", a Roundtable debate: "State and Society is a unified team in energy conservation" was held. The Roundtable was attended by master's students in the specialty 8.15010002 "Civil Service", who work in public positions throughout Ukraine.

The event is devoted to building the dialogue between the state public authorities, housing cooperatives and regional community representatives of Poltava region in the field of energy conservation technologies introduction. The increase of the practical knowledge of community representatives about project vehicles of energy conservation events funded from both regional and town budgets. The attitude of state public authorities and housing cooperatives and ways of cooperation in the field of energy conservation.

Among the speakers of the event, we can distinguish project participants with the following topics:

  1. Сandidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Inna Minyailenko: Formation and implementation of energy efficiency potential in Ukraine and EU countries.
  2. Сandidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Vitaliia Skryl: Financing of energy efficient activities of houses associations of apartment buildings co owners at the expense of energy service companies.

The event was held in the zoom conference mode with the involvement of all project participants.

Impact. Territorial communities’ awareness of the attractiveness of the transition from the traditional energy sources to the alternative ones, relevance of energy conservation technologies introduction.

Involvement of the region and city communities into the advocacy of implementation of energy conservation technologies which are not project target groups.
