On April 28, 2020, the workshop of the sub-forum of economics, entrepreneurship and marketing was held as part of the 72nd scientific conference of professors, lecturers, academic researchers, Ph.D. students and students of the university, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic» on the Zoom platform.

47 people took part in online work of the section. The research results, carried out within the framework of the ERASMUS + "Jean Monnet" program – “The challenges of energy efficiency: cooperation of Ukraine with the EU (registration number 599740-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE)”, were presented by the students and academic staff.

At the conference, within the framework of Jean Monnet project, Ph.D. in Economics, associate professor Miniailenko I.V. along with the applicant of the first level of higher education of the specialty 076 "Entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activity" Khursa V.V., presented a report on an extremely topical issue of formation and further observance of fuel and energy balances of European countries. Bright and modern presentation of Ph.D. in Engineering Science, associate professor Byba V. V. was dedicated to the best practices of energy saving management in European countries. It was indicated that nowadays in world’s major economies new energy civilization is being formed, the main features of which are: energy efficiency; smart energy systems built according to the Smart Grid concept; decentralization of energy production; new energy sources.

As a result, emphasis was placed on the implementation of effective policy of energy efficiency improvement and development of energy production from renewable energy sources and alternative fuels will allow Ukraine to create conditions to reduce energy consumption of gross domestic product, to optimize the structure of the state’s energy balance by increasing the utilization capacity of renewable energy sources and alternative fuels, secondary energy resources, to introduce an effective mechanism for the implementation of state energy efficiency, renewable energy and alternative fuels policies. The speakers stressed the importance of promoting European best practices in the field of energy efficiency!
